Investing in Print, People, and Community: Why Sacramento’s Future is Local

By Kasey Cotulla

In an age where everything seems to move toward the digital cloud, one truth remains: ink on paper still connects people in powerful ways. Whether it is a ballot book mailed to a voter, a beautifully produced catalog that inspires a purchase, or the poster for a local arts fundraiser, print is alive, well, and more essential than many realize.

As the owner of Delta Print Group, the largest printer in Northern California, I have seen firsthand how a commitment to both craft and community can help an industry adapt and thrive. Our presses do not just produce work; they produce impact. Every project that runs through our facilities touches lives, from the voter who learns about an election, to the student who sees their name on a commencement program, to the nonprofit that raises critical dollars with a direct mail campaign.

Growth Rooted in Relationships

Over the past several years, our company has grown not simply by acquiring equipment or expanding square footage, but by investing in people. Sacramento is home to a talented, diverse workforce, and when we give them the tools to succeed such as modern presses, creative design resources, and a culture of respect, we do not just get better print jobs. We build stronger relationships with clients and partners who know we stand behind every project.

Serving Local and National Clients

While Sacramento is our home base, our work extends well beyond the region. From local nonprofits and civic institutions to national companies and organizations, our team produces print and mailing solutions that scale. That mix of local pride and national reach is what makes Delta Print Group unique. We are large enough to handle complex, large scale projects, but close enough to our roots to give every client a personal touch.

Beyond the Pressroom

Of course, business does not happen in a vacuum. Sacramento’s growth as a region depends on strong connections between private enterprise, civic leadership, and community institutions. That is why I serve with the Sacramento Metro Chamber and support initiatives like the Big Day of Giving. These partnerships matter. When local businesses step up, we do not just create jobs. We create momentum for our entire community.

Looking Ahead

Print will continue to evolve alongside digital, but one thing will not change: the need for communication that feels tangible and personal. At Delta Print Group, we are committed to leading that evolution while keeping our roots firmly planted in Sacramento. Because when we invest locally, whether in people, technology, or community, we all stand to gain.
