Thank you to those who participated in the poll. The answer was Johannes Gutenberg invented the first printing press.

When the Heidelberg Press introduced the rotating feeder arm, the term windmill was born. Quickly after that, offset printing became popularized. It’s a technique that is still widely used today due to its quality, detail, and accuracy. Offset printing is when an inked image is transferred from a plate to a rubber blanket and then to the printing surface. Over the years, offset printing has continued to develop. The development came in two versions: a lithographic process and an ink roller transfer process. Modern offset printing allows the prepress phase to convert the print files into the proper CMYK color and then create plates for each color of the job. At DPG, we have hundreds of years of collective experience in print and mail, playing witness to the many years of evolution in printing and mailing.
